TikTok has more than one billion active users and has been downloaded more than three billion times. To bring it closer to home, it’s trending right here in the Pacific.

This social media platform is most popular with children, teenagers, young adults, families, celebrities and just about anyone who’s keen on flexing some basic moves or enjoys watching quirky or funny videos.

Here’s our pick for the trending Pacific TikTokers.

Dynah Tuia’ana and Malosi Scanlan

Laughter is the best medicine and Tuia’ana and Scanlan definitely have their way with it. The Samoan cousins usually dress up as Disney characters like Moana and Maui and boast a following of 1.3 million.

“Nearly everyone we meet says we look like Moana and Maui plus its one of the first Pacific movies that people of all ages could understand and connect with. We also just love the movie as well,” Scanlan said.

The funniest video they did was the body challenge and shared that “Pacific islanders should make use of TikTok in showcasing our unique talent, culture and history.”

Their creativity and amusing videos are definitely worth a watch.
